Lesley chose to study food and nutrition having suffered from ME as a teenager. She witnessed the amazing effect that changing her diet could make, and went on to fully recover and spend the first part of her career in the food industry.
Subsequent years have been spent furthering her education in nutrition and keeping up to date with the latest research, as well as running her own successful practice. Lesley spent 2 years with a London clinic specialising in gut health.
Having had 2 sons, Lesley developed an interest in children’s health, which is an asset with some of our younger clients. When her sons were younger, she was approached by the headmistress of a local school asking for help to improve their school meal offer. Lesley was instrumental in helping the school to become one of the first in the UK to have a 100% organic menu. Put forward by parents, she was a finalist in one of the Daily Telegraph Best School Meals competition.
Lesley has had an established specialist career with The Optimum Health Clinic since 2008, where she has seen the many different facets of illness. She enjoys figuring out how to best approach supporting her clients back to good health. Well known for her calm and positive manner, Lesley brings a wealth of wisdom to the clinic, and is an invaluable asset to the clinic team.
